Insurance claims

How does the insurance process work?

We start with an inspection and show you what we find. If you decide to file a claim, you call your carrier to open it, and we can provide photos, measurements and repair estimates and meet your adjuster to review the damage. Once the scope is agreed, we review it with you, then coordinate the repairs and keep you updated.

Should I call my insurance company or you first?

You're welcome to call us first. An inspection tells you what you're dealing with, so you have a clear picture before you decide whether to file.

Do you work with my insurance company?

We work with all major insurance carriers. We help with the construction side of the claim: the inspection, the photos, the estimates, and answering questions about the work your home needs.

What if something was missed in my claim?

If construction items appear to be missing from the scope, we document those concerns with photos and measurements so you can bring them to your carrier. If the scope is right, we'll tell you that too.

Timing

How quickly can you come out?

Call our 24/7 emergency line for urgent tarping needs. Contact us to confirm inspection availability.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Timing depends on the roof, weather and material availability. We will discuss the schedule before work starts.

How long does water mitigation take?

Response and drying time depend on the extent of the water damage and site conditions. Call us to discuss the next steps.

When will I hear back after I request an estimate?

We get in touch as soon as we can to talk through the next step.

Warranties

What warranty do you offer?

Every job comes with our 5-year workmanship warranty, plus applicable manufacturer coverage as specified in your proposal. The exact terms are written into your proposal.

What's the difference between a workmanship and a manufacturer warranty?

The manufacturer covers defects in the materials. The workmanship warranty covers how we installed them. You want both, and you want them in writing.

Are repairs warrantied too?

Yes, the repair itself is covered. We'll be clear about what the warranty covers and what it doesn't on an older roof.

Pricing and financing

How much does a new roof cost?

It depends on the size, pitch, number of layers to remove, decking condition and the materials you choose. Rather than guess, we come take a look for free and give you a written price. If insurance is involved, we work from the agreed scope.

Are inspections and estimates free?

Yes, always.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. Flexible financing is available for roofing, restoration and remodeling projects. Mention it when you request your estimate and we'll walk you through the options.

Can I finance an upgrade, like going from shingles to metal?

Ask us about the options for your project. Eligibility and terms depend on the financing provider.

Emergencies

What does emergency tarping cost?

Nothing up front. Call any hour and we'll get the water stopped. Emergency tarping is usually covered by your insurance claim as part of protecting the home, and we bill the carrier directly.

What should I do right after a storm?

Stay off the roof. Move anything valuable away from leaks and put a bucket under active drips. Take photos of any interior damage. Then give us a call for a tarp and an inspection.

STILL WONDERING?
